| Here are some great
organizations where you can both learn and donate to help the people
now:
World Vision -- For
$30-35 a month, you can sponsor a child... This small amount
provides medicine, food, clothing and an education for a child who
would otherwise go without. For $40 a month, you can do this
for a family! This is a very well-known, established and
trustworthy organization and 87% of your donated money goes to the
cause (only 13% is used for "overhead" and fund-raising.
Save the Children -- I just started to work with this
organization but had heard of them for years. This is another
way to provide for children around the world who need your help.
90% of your donation goes to the kids! Like World Vision, you
can also sponsor a child. Unicef
-- Another very well-known organization for helping underprivileged
children around the world. They provide food, medicine,
clothing and educations for kids who need help. A whopping 94%
of your donated dollar goes to the programs!
Save Darfur -- Every day 2.5 million people are driven from
their homes. Many millions more than this are suffering. |
